    Alexa's Bio:
I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Going to School Close to Home: Good or Bad?

I am from Esko, MN, and that is about 40 minutes from CSS. At first I thought that it would be too close, and I wouldn’t feel like I had enough independence, but being here for two and a half months has proven that isn’t true. I see my family less than my roommates do.. And they live at least two hours away. I like being close to home because then if anything is going on I can make a day trip there and be back at school by nighttime. I don’t do this very often, but I like knowing that I can. Being only 45 minutes away may not be enough distance for some, but it is for me. I have already become more independent and branched out on my own which I think is one of the most important things a person can learn in college.
