I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Dance Team Tasks

We are over halfway through summer, which means my co-captain and I need to kick into high gear and get ready for the upcoming dance season! Already it has been a struggle trying to communicate with all of the members and get everything organized. Every summer we have a dance camp that lasts a week and is right before classes start. This means we need to get the girls moved in before the scheduled move in date so they can attend camp. Plus, we need to work out a budget so we can give them a meal from GDR once every day. I love being on the dance team, and I love being the captain, but it is a lot of work to keep up with everything, and I’m not even taking classes right now! We finally are putting the finishing touches on our homecoming song, and then we need to start choreographing, plus we need to plan and execute fundraisers, then we need to plan team bonding events and banquets, and finally we have to teach the dance and run camp and practices. Homecoming is a huge deal, so we want to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.

I knew it would be a lot of work, and I am more than up for the challenge. I just hope it doesn’t get to be too much for me during the school year. But, finding that balance between work, school, friends, extracurriculars, and me time is something everybody has to do, and I think I can do it! If anything, my time management skills will be off the charts 😀
