Crazy thunderstorm!

Lately is has been really hot and humid in Duluth (which is not uncommon), and I was expecting a rainfall or a thunderstorm that would cool things off, because that’s usually what happens. Well, that thunderstorm is happening right now, and it is absolutely crazy to watch. I woke up to a loud boom that shook my whole house and noticed that my window was open. So, I quickly shut it and turned on my lights, only to discover that the power was out. Of course I immediately resorted to Facebook to see if anybody else was up, and everyone was posting about the storm! I’m so glad I’m not alone and am in my comfortable bed during this storm. That way I can enjoy it! I hope the power comes back on soon, though, or getting ready for work might be a little difficult. Duluth weather is notorious for being unpredictable. One day it will be freezing cold, and then next people are walking around in t-shirts. One second it can be hot and sunny, and the next it’s starting to rain. It’s always interesting and one never really knows what will happen during one day. We could potentially have a mix of all four seasons in a day! I just hope that everyone stays safe during this rainfall, and we do not have a repeat flood that causes a lot of damage for homes and buildings like we did a few years ago!
