Chester Park

It has cooled off a little bit today, so I decided to explore my neighborhood and go for a run outside. I live pretty close to Chester Park, and I thought what better place to explore than there! I have to say, the park is so hidden that it’s easy to miss, and it has gates all around it so its away from any busy road and sounds, but it was absolutely beautiful. There was a waterfall drop, different areas you could explore around the water- I think it’s called Chester Creek- and a bunch of different trails! I stopped my workout just so my roommate and I could explore around a little bit. We went hiking on one trail that led straight across the park, so we did the entire distance. As we were walking we both commented on how cool it was that there was a peaceful forest with great views and nature right in the middle of a busy town. It didn’t even feel like we were in a town at all, it felt like the country! Unfortunately I didn’t have my phone so I couldn’t take any pictures, but I am definitely going back and can get some nature shots then. I can’t wait to explore the park even more!
