I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Back to School

Well, I am back home in my apartment after a nice long weekend spent with family at home. While I was there, I got to see my very best friend from high school, and of course have delicious food on Thanksgiving with my family. On Friday night I went out to dinner with my friend at a Mexican-style restaurant called Pedro’s. It used to be called Mexico Lindo, and there is one here in Duluth that serves practically the same food- I think they even used to have the same owner, but now they don’t and that is why the name was changed to Pedro’s. Anyways, while we were there, we asked for our bill, and the server told us that it was already taken care of by a worker there. We could not believe it! That has never happened to me before, and I honestly never thought in a million years it would. It was such a kind, selfless act, both of us were speechless. Neither one of us knew him, he just decided to do something nice for us. We decided that the next time we were out together we would pay it forward and do something for a different stranger, I can’t wait.

I left home around 4:30 and got back to campus at 5-ish. I had a few items to return at the mall, and then went grocery shopping at Super One. It seemed like a lot of people had the same idea, I saw many other classmates there doing their shopping, too. I slept in until at least 11 every morning of break, and tomorrow I have to be up and at work at 8 am… I don’t know how I am going to do it. That’s the thing about breaks though, it takes a while to adjust and get back into the routine of things. But, before I know it, I will be studying for final exams, taking them, and then done with my third semester here at CSS! I just hope this week doesn’t throw too many curveballs at me, though.
