Back at it!

Well, is Saints are embarking on our final stretch of classes as we head back to Duluth after a much needed break. Unfortunately, the first half of my break was spent bedridden as I tried to recover as quickly as possible from my wisdom teeth removal. All of them were impacted, so my jaw was not happy for a few days, but I managed to get by with some swelling and bruising, but nothing major!

I was glad I scheduled them for when I did, because I wouldn’t want to have to miss class during the school year, or work during the summer. I had the surgery on Friday, and was able to drive back to Duluth on Tuesday for work. I just sat through most of the classes I taught and took advantage of the two assistants I had. Then, I stayed at home and went to the cities for a couple of days, and now I am fully recovered and ready to go back to school. I’m heading out to do my grocery shopping since my fridge and cupboards are looking pretty bare! The good thing is I can usually raid some cupboards at home so I don’t have to buy as many groceries.

Since I was bedridden, I didn’t feel like doing much homework, but I didn’t have a choice and it needed to be done. I designated last Monday to only homework, and I managed to read an entire novella, a long article, and write two papers! I have some things I still need to do, but feel good about the work I’ve done so far. I’m looking forward to finishing the year strong, and hopefully we will start getting some nice weather!
