The London Experience
This morning we took a bus tour around the city and got to know the ins and outs of London or at least as best as tourists can. Our tour guide Elenor gave us tons of info about the shopping districts, famous Londoners, war history, historical buildings, and of course all of the Harry Potter film locations. We even got out a few times to enjoy the sites such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St. Michaels Church, up close and personal. At the end of the tour we visited the Tower of London. We got to see where kings slept, guards lived, and where prisoners were tortured. It was really interesting to learn about all of the buildings and how many different functions they’ve served. It even used to be a full zoo at one point in history. After our tours we tested our memory and explored London by foot. We got some sandwhiches for dinner and visited lots of local shops including one called Forbidden Planet. Basically, it was filled with everything fandom you could want. There was tons of Adventure Time! I wanted to take it all with me but I decided there wasn’t enough room in my suitcase for my whole store. All in all it was a good day, even if we were covered in rain.
