The Lakewalk

One of my favorite things about living next to Lake Superior is walking and biking on the Lakewalk. The Lakewalk begins in Canal Park and runs to 26th Ave. East for a total of 7.5 miles. There are many great tourist locations along the way including Bayfront Festival Park, Playfront Park Playground, the Rose Garden, and Leif Erickson Park. In the summer, the Lakewalk is especially busy. There are many 5ks, dog walkers, roller skaters, runners, and even horse drawn carriages. Bayfront Festival Park is filled with live music events, fundraisers, and festivals. Leif Erickson is Duluth’s hotspot for Pokemon players as it features a loop with around nine Pokestops that are always lit on the weekend. The best thing about the Lakewalk, however, is the views. Whether in sunshine or fog, during day or night, there is always something beautiful to behold.
