    Tayler's Bio:
My name is Tayler and I was an English major/biology minor at the College of St. Scholastica! I have lived in Duluth all of my life so I know all the best local restaurants and hiking trails. On campus, I was involved with The Cable, Bella Voce, the Northstar Reports, the McNair Scholars Program, Student Support Services, and the English & Arts Club. Off campus, I volunteered with Mentor Duluth and enjoy throwing theme parties with friends and family.

English Senior Farewell Dinner

Every year the English faculty take the graduating cohort out to dinner to celebrate their success at St. Scholastica. While it’s mostly a time to share plans for the next segment of our life, it was also a way for the English faculty to let us know how much we mean to them. Each student was given a book somehow related to their journey as an English major. One student who wrote his first novel in the style of Tolkien received a title all about the creation of Middle Earth and Tolkiens rise to success. A journalism student received an autobiography by a reporter who traveled the U.S. in an exciting and slightly illegal way. I was given an educational piece titled “How To Be a Victorian.” I have taken several classes involving the Victorian Era and recently completed a Victorian themed photo project. Now I will have something to read on my flight to London!
