Summer Class

Monday, April 30th, 2018

With the end of the semester upon us, it is time I need to start planning for my summer class I am taking. I have decided to take a 2 credit course at Century College near the Twin Cities this summer. I need this course for my major, exercise physiology. Scholastica offers this course here, but it is not online and would make my fall semester next year all messed up. A lot of students here choose to take summer courses either here or at local colleges because it allows for not as compact schedule to graduate on time. Next summer, I am already planning on taking general biology at Anoka Ramsey Community College to get those credits needed for grad school. All that is left now, after paying for my summer course, is to buy the textbook. Exciting times!

Summer Living

Thursday, June 8th, 2017

Everyone is just having the times of their lives now that it is finally summer.  I see on social media and things like that that people are out on lakes, going on vacations, and just spending a lot of time outdoors or with their friends.  Some of my friends are still located in Duluth for the summer because they have jobs there or are already paying rent at a home or apartment.  I am one of those people who is paying rent currently, but I have a job at home that I really needed to work at for the summer, so that is nice.  I like having the freedom to be able to go to Duluth at any point in the summer and have somewhere to stay and people to hang out with.  One of my roommates is living in Duluth this summer and is loving everything about it because there is so much more for her to do there than at her home town.  I wish that I lived in Duluth sometimes, but I am really enjoying the time off from people and spending time with my family and eating all of their food.  I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break so far, it’s already going by so fast!!
