Mentor Connection Graduation!!

Tomorrow, another cohort of the Mentor Connection program will be graduating from the program!! The Mentor Connection program seeks to connect students in the Twin Ports area, including CSS and UMD, with professionals in order to build relationships through networking. The program provides all students with an opportunity to learn more about different careers in the area, polish up their communication and networking skills.


Mentor Connection Event

A week ago, Matthew R. and I attended the second Mentor Connection event as Student Ambassadors of the program. Both of us graduated from the program last year and since then, we have been actively recruiting and encouraging CSS students to participate and benefit from this program. Mentor Connection is a NORTHFORCE initative that pairs local business leaders and professionals with UMD and CSS college students to create lasting relationships and valuable connections through a year-long mentorship program.

Last year I was part of the guinea pig class of the Mentor Connection program, an initiative of NORTHFORCE. Students participating in the program attend six professional networking events and workshops during which they learn about various career opportunities in the Twin Ports area.
