‘Legal Aspects of Management’

A course I am taking with Prof. Patrick Spott, which was added to the Management curriculum recently, has been a paced learning journey. A few topics the course covers include – ‘courts and jurisdiction’, ‘criminal law’, ‘intellectual property and cyber piracy’, ‘genuineness of assent and statute frauds’, ‘ bankruptcy and reorganization’, ‘agency’. The course is structured with five non-cumulative exams worth 35 points. Here’s what struck me about the course, the mandate ‘Business Owner interview’ and the ‘Courtroom project’.

Bagelicious Einstein’s bagels!!

Wednesday, December 7th, 2016

Earlier this week, I decided to grab lunch with a friend and we set out for Einstein’s where we bumped into a mutual friend who then recommended an Asiago style bagel with some kind of cheese that I have forgotten because the bagel was just so bagelicious!

Buckingham Palace

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016

Today, I finally got to see Buckingham Palace with my own eyes. It was incredible as such history exists within its walls. We, my mother, sister, and I, became intrigued with the practice of Monarchy in England. I plan to do some more research into the history this evening in order to satisfy my curiosity. The structure itself was beautiful, surrounded by stunning sculptures and parks. My sister shared that she dreams of living there. I, however, was simply in awe of theplace. What a magnificent place to live and work. I can only imagine what it would be like to be a princess or a queen.
