Online Classmate Connections

Sunday, February 12th, 2017

I am one month into my spring semester! I am taking one online course about the development of clinical information systems. This class has been challenging for me because I don’t have any experience working with clinical information systems. Thankfully one of our first projects was to work as a group. This was also challenging because I am residing in Germany right now and my teammates are in the US. We had to manage our time and find ways to meet. Through meeting some of my classmates I have learned that I have some new connections to bounce ideas off of and ask questions to. I am glad I can reach out to my classmates now if I am ever feeling lost. Most of my classmates are full time HIM professionals so they have a lot of information to offer me. I am so thankful to have made new connections to help me through this challenging course.

CSS connections

Monday, March 21st, 2016

I went shopping today at Ridgedale, and to my surprise saw someone who looked familiar working there. I asked her if she went to CSS, and she said she had graduated December. We had never interacted before, but  knowing that we were both a part of the Scholastica community was a strong bond.  I’m excited to graduate this spring and forever be a Saint. I know I’ll keep the connections I’ve made at CSS.

Welcome to college, where you will meet all sorts of people and never know exsctly where that might lead you! I arrived in New York City yesterday to visit one of my friends I met this year. I haven’t seen her since November, so getting to see her is awesome! This is my first time in New York. I’ve experienced the subway, Manhattan, etc. Its crazy the places you go when you meet people from all over the world!
