CSS Jazz Band joins Black Student Union

Black Student Union today kicked off our celebration of Black History Month. It’s a month for all to enjoy. Our St. Scholastica Jazz band was gracious enough to join us today in a wonderful celebration in our school’s Student Union. Ignorantly, I didn’t even know our school had a jazz band! Our jazz director made sure to highlight the black community’s contribution to music with the invention of jazz music. The music was accompanied by free snacks and a karaoke session after the performance. Black Student Union will be doing many other events throughout the month for the community. This is what makes the College of St. Scholastica a wonderful place, diversity.
