Moving into a New Place

I had a very quick turn around between my fall internship and my final internship. I ended my internship in Glenwood, MN on November 17th and I started my internship at Mayo Clinic on November 20th. Talk about a quick turn around… I had to pack up all my stuff, go home to my parents for a night to get a few things, then head to Rochester and unpack again. The drive to Rochester was pretty easy and took just under 2 hours to get there , which was better than I had originally thought it was going to be.  I moved in with a one of my Love Your Melon Crew Member’s family. They live about 15 minutes out of downtown Rochester and with basically no parking for employees (takes 17-30 years to get a parking spot as an employee, unless you are a physician), I needed to figure out the public transit system to get to my internship! Overall, it was a very hectic weekend and I was a bit stressed out. However, Sarah, who is in my Love Your Melon crew was there to help me out.  I don’t think I slept at all that night due to nerves for starting a new internship and a new environment, but that isn’t unusual for me.
