Love Your Melon- Melon Madness Challenges

Every year around Thanksgiving time, the Love Your Melon organization puts on a bunch of challenges for each campus crew to perform to help raise awareness and money for our non-profit partners and they call it “Melon Madness”.

This year there are 13 different challenges that happen throughout a 1 week time-period. Yes, it is very chaotic haha. Here are some examples of what we are doing throughout the week:

  • Getting as many animals as we can in LYM gear (this is my family’s pup in my LYM beanie pictured above)
  • Choosing a crew that we this is the Most Valuable Crew
  • Posting on our social media about special releases that LYM is coming out with for the weekend
  • Spreading the love by putting special treats in mailboxes

There are many others that we are participating in throughout the week, but that just gives you a good idea of some of the different things we do!

As the Public Relations Manager for our crew, I am in charge of all our social media accounts. I was the Crew Captain for 2 years, but now since I am on internships and not physically on campus anymore, this was a good transition for me since I can post to social media, just about anywhere!
