Baby Care

An important form of learning in life is learning to take care of an infant. This is interesting because as far as I understand, there is no subsitute for experience in that field. I helped to take care of my older sister’s baby today, and while I’ve done it before, it is still an incredibly strange and foreign experience for me. I enjoy it, and I wouldn’t even say that for my part it’s particularly difficult, but there is something about it that has always put me off. Perhaps  I’ll feel differently when/if the child I’m taking care of is my own. More than anything, it just goes to show that while you can learn an icredible variety of things at college, there are still plenty of things in life that only become easier with experience. So go out and get your hands dirty and make a lot of mistakes. You’ll be glad that you did.
