Quigong in Therapy

Quigong (pronounced like “chee gung”), is a Chinese act to promote healing using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation. In my occupational therapy class we spent a class period trying this technique out and also focused on various relaxation techniques that can be beneficial to help our clients once we graduate. There was a video that showed various types of movement, and then we listened to a CD and tried deep breathing techniques. It is just one of the many different techniques that can be used to help relax and promote individual spirituality.
