    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Viverant Physical Therapy

Yesterday I had my afternoon open following classes and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to go hang out with a local physical therapist, DJ Lahti, at Viverant in Duluth, MN. I wanted to get back into the clinic and just observe, pick up a few tips/tricks, and clinically reason/think with real patients prior to starting my 6-week clinic rotation at school. DJ is one of our adjunct faculty at the College of St. Scholastica in the Physical Therapy program. He is also a CSS baseball alumni, which is how I knew him first, having played ball myself at CSS prior to starting the PT program.

The Viverant facility is beautiful; great treatment rooms, a large gym space, and open workout space where quite a bit of patient education and exercise is done. It was my first time into the Viverant building and to say the least, it was impressive. I have my 1st of three terminal internships at Viverant in Vadnais Heights coming up this summer with fellow CSS baseball alumni, physical therapist, and DJ’s brother, Jeff Lahti.

It was nice to get back into the clinic to learn a few things and get some creative treatment juices flowing prior to beginning my 6-week clinic rotation at CSS’s Maurice’s Community Clinic.
