    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Trail Running & Research

I recently was a “test subject” for my 2nd year research project in the physical therapy program. It consisted of running on a flat concrete surface, flat snow covered surface, and snow covered trail surface while collecting PEDAR data. The test run went really well and we were able to note a few minor adjustments that need to be made before we begin to schedule our recruited participants.

I also recently went on a mid day trail run out in West Duluth. The trail is called Lollygagger trail and it encircles Brewer Park. There are beautiful running, hiking, biking, and snowmobiling trails in the area that are commonly used. The Superior Hiking Trail traverses Brewer Park and is easily accessible from the Haines Road Trail Head. Get out there and enjoy winters in Duluth!
