    Jake's Bio:
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My interests range from fishing and running to spending time in the chemistry labs with the professors. The Duluth area mixed with the professional and compassionate faculty and staff that make up St. Scholastica are, in my opinion, the perfect match up for an awesome college experience. I look forward to blogging about my future adventures!

We arrived at our destination of Camp Andrew Jackson around 3pm today. We were greeted by the fantastic CAP staff and had a spaghetti dinner with the six or so other schools that will be volunteering for the week.

During the introductory meeting we were assigned work groups and met the other students we will be volunteering with throughout the week. They also mentioned that they want us to put as much effort into getting to know the families as we will place into working on their houses. They concluded the meeting with James 2:17, “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” It was definitely a motivational meeting!

Tomorrow, we begin working on the those houses and will meet the families.
