    Jin's Bio:
Hi, there! I'm Jin, and I am a passionate, talkative, dessert fanatic. Poems, good books, coconut water, and action movies make me happy. If we ever meet in person, you'll definitely hear me before you see me. You'll want to ask how many energy drinks I've had, but the answer will always be zero.

Medical Scribe Opportunities

Great job opportunities for students interested in a future career in the medical program

As college students, we have endless options in future career fields, professional goals, and job positions. As a student in the pre-medicine program at CSS, I always keep an eye out for job opportunities and shadowing opportunities that are posted around campus. While I was walking to class in the Science building, I came across a poster that mentioned medical scribe opportunities in the Duluth area.

I did some research and realized that it is a great work experience for students who don’t have any experience in the medical field but are interested in seeing and experiencing what life is like working in the field. Most companies require a minimum 6-month contract, but I feel like that’s reasonable for students (since that’s less than a whole school year, and students would still get to enjoy summer break if they wanted to). As a scribe, people get to work side-by-side with doctors from a spectrum of specialties, interact with patients, and decide if they want to invest in a future career in medicine.

So, if you’re a pre-med student looking for confirmation that medicine is the field you want to work in, it looks like being a medical scribe is a great starting point.
