    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Day For Upward Bound

Today, Outdoor Pursuit put on an event for the Upward Bound program at St. Scholastica. UB is a program that helps prepare and motivate high school students for their college journey. As a staff and student leader for OP! I was asked to help prepare for and volunteer at the event. We organized a large scale scavenger hunt for the participants on campus, and it seemed like blast. It involved finding a series of places on campus with the use of given GPS coordinates and completing various team building challenges and activities. The point I was stationed at was near the softball field. I enjoyed seeing the participants attempt the given challenge and work as a team. Although it got to be a bit chilly being outside for nearly two hours, it was great spending the day outside while also being involved with two great programs on campus.
