    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

And, SOAR Begins!

Today, I will be heading out on trail for five days with a group of incoming CSS freshmen. I will be leading the trip with my friend and co-guide, Tori. We will be spending our trip camping up the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our participants will have the opportunity to meet new friends, build a lasting support system for college, go rock climbing, swimming, hiking, paddle boarding and more.

I really look forward to being a part of these experiences. As a freshman, I participated in the SOAR program, and as a result gained a support system built of the Outdoor Pursuit program and the new friends I would be going to school with. I am now a Junior going into my third year at CSS, and this will be my fifth SOAR trip as a guide. The Outdoor Pursuit program and SOAR are both wonderful things to be a part of. I wouldn’t change my involvement for anything. It has been life changing. I love being able to help provide this amazing opportunity to the new CSS community.
