STEM Fall Banquet

Every fall semester, we have a fall banquet for the students in the STEM program.  For those of you who don’t know, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  The STEM scholarship program is funded by the NSF, and gives assistance with students pursuing these STEM, like looking for graduate school programs, internships, research opportunities, ect.  This year, we went to Black Woods restaurant in Proctor, MN.  We socialize with other STEM scholars, enjoy a delicious meal, and had a speaker come talk to us.  This year’s speaker was a Applications Analyst at Securian, which is a large financial company based in St. Paul.  She talked to us and gave us some inspiring advice on how to find your passion and enjoy your career.  I really enjoyed it.  Overall, the evening was really fun and I can’t wait for this STEM year to start!
