I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Snow Day

Today I woke up for my 3rd to last day of student teaching and I had a text from my cooperating teacher: No school today.

Wait, what do you mean, no school??? I knew we were supposed to have 3-5 inches of snow, but was it really that bad outside? I take a look outside, eh…. not really. Why is school being canceled? Well, because Duluth weather gets pretty weird, today we were expected to get a mixture of rain, snow, and sleet. What happens when those all happen? Icy roads. What happens when icy roads go up and down hills? You get major accidents in Duluth. So school was canceled. I’m thankful because my car is terrible in the snow. I’ve been utilizing the free day to apply for jobs, do Capstone projects, and bake (and of course, Netflix!)

Only in Duluth do you have a snow day 4 days before May.
