    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Last Day of Clubs

I have been working for K.E.Y. Zone for the past year. It’s been part of work study through St. Scholastica and it just so happens to be at my student teaching school as well! I decided not work my regular schedule during student teaching because I needed to prioritize teaching, but I couldn’t stay away! I offered to teach a few clubs in case my supervisors needed some leaders, and what do you know! I have taught a dance club and an arts and crafts club the past 5 weeks. It has been super rewarding. I initially had plans for each club every week. In good teacher fashion, I had to change all of them. I have been sick for the past few weeks so I’ve had to take it gently during Dance Club. Tonight was our last meeting for Dance Club, so I planned kind of an improv’d dance. We made up a dance as we went along and it went great! It was weird to be done though. The kids all hugged me. Even my supervisor complimented me and thanked me for helping out with extra clubs. It makes me feel happy knowing that I was needed and will be missed. As the year is coming to a close, it’s so weird that soon student teaching will be ending too.
