    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Day 1 of Washington DC Trip

As part of my CSS work life, I work for Upward Bound. Upward Bound is a federally-funded program that we have hosted on he CSS campus. It helps low-income, first-gen high schoolers prepare for college. I was in Upward Bound myself (you get a $5,000 scholarship each year to CSS if you were in it!). I have worked for the program for 3 years as a Team Leader. The students attend a summer class program and at the end, they get to go on a trip. This year, we went to Washington DC! On the way to DC, we stopped at Notre Dame! It’s interesting to compare other colleges to the one I went to. It’s also rewarding to advise students on their own college choices. The next stop? Gettysburg, Pennsylvania!
