    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Being Sick & Student Teaching

The past few weeks I’ve just been hit hard with illnesses. This Wednesday, I think I had food poisoning. All I know is, it was definitely not a day for me to go teach. At 6 in the morning all I could think was “Oh no what are the kids going to do, how is this going to work out? AHHH”. It was the first time I ever missed a day of student teaching. Teachers are kind of known to work no matter how sick they are, because leaving the classroom with a substitute is like playing Russian Roulette; you never know how it will turn out. Thankfully, my cooperating teacher was still there and had things under control. Unfortunately, I went through this whole scenario on Friday again. I’m resting now and ready to take teaching head-on on Monday!
