    Brandon's Bio:
    My major is on the left, but it’s taken me six major changes, two minor changes and three graduate-track changes to get there. I’m from a small farming town west of the Twin Cities and came to Duluth for the city and stayed for the school. I work at the Burns Wellness Center at the front desk and have pretty much the best job in the world. I like to take any opportunity thrown at me, and since coming here I’ve been thrown plenty. Life’s an adventure, and so is CSS!

Mid-Terms

Well one thing definitely occurred that I had certainly not anticipated… Mid-Terms. Actually, their prominence is what I should say was what took me by surprise. In London Schools, they operate by something known as the ‘Queen’s System.’ But you’re probably thinking, “WTH is that?” No worries, because due to my apt ability to procrastinate on my assignments, I’m MORE than happy to explain. Essentially the Queen’s System is a grading system based on a few brief, important assessments. Example: The current paper I’m putting off is worth a cool, 45% of my overall grade for class. Cool, right? No.

Because of this fun little detail, it means that what we would equate to finals week duplicates itself in the form of Mid-Terms. I feel foolish for being surprised by this, but hey, at least I’m more prepared than some people!
