    Brooke's Bio:
I came to Duluth because I love the city, and this small school has a home-like feel. I play volleyball here and have other interests in listening to music, being outdoors and hanging out with friends. I like to stay active as much as I can, and I don't think I'll have any problem finding something to do in this amazing city. After graduation, I want to enroll in CSS’ Physician Assistant graduate program.

Living at Home

This summer, I chose to live at home with my family and in my hometown.  I was skeptical about coming back because I am going into my Junior Year of college at St. Scholastica, and it’s about 50/50 whether people stay in Duluth or move home for the summer.  I was someone who went home because I have a really good and flexible job in my hometown.  I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a very small town assisted living that is near my home.  They are really good about giving me lots of hours but also being able to work with my busy life.  There are a lot of things going on this summer, and it’s definitely nice not having to pay for or make my own food every meal like I would have to if I lived in Duluth.  It’s always interesting to hear whether people stay or leave and what their reasons are.
