Sunday Food Prep

For the past 3 weeks, I have been preparing and planning my food to eat every Sunday for the entire week. Last year, I had availability to GDR but this upcoming year I won’t have it at all. I am trying to create a great habit this summer of preparing my food intake for the week. Every Sunday night, I plan what I will eat for the week. I buy enough chicken and beef or steak and cook it. I then store it in a huge container and put it in the fridge. Next, I cook anything that will go along with the meat like white rice, pasta, or simply shred lettuce to make a salad. I also cut up several fruits and vegetables and granola bars for snacks. I distribute the food in separate containers for each day and meal.

The benefits of food prepping are, in my opinion, saves a lot of time, much cheaper, and it is healthier. Usually, I would make decisions on what to eat the day of. This was a horrible habit because I would make decisions based on a few seconds and usually would choose a fast food restaurant. Not only is it unhealthy, but the money spent on fast food piles up quickly. I hope I can continue this habit for the following years. It will make my time at CSS much easier.
