    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

The Qwest for Being Uplifted

Today: a really long and difficult day filled with homework and countless responsibilities.  Sometimes it seems as we get older, life gets more complicated.  We start to lose the innocence and carefree life that we once lived as a kid and grip hold of the reality that is adulthood.  Now more than ever, we need positive encouragement and reassurance that we will make it through this challenging time and become amazing representatives of whatever career we are pursuing.  College is a stressful and arduous time, but sometimes it is important to keep our eyes focused on the light at the end of the tunnel.  Here is a ray of that light for you:

Look Well to This Day
Anonymous, 50 B.C.
Look well to this day,
For it and it alone is life.
In its brief course
Lie all the essence of your existence:

The Glory of Growth
The Satisfaction of Achievement
The Splendor of Beauty

For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is but a vision.
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
