Meeting Prospective Students

Today I had the honor to meet some students that will be attending our college this fall. My high school held an event to the Minnesota United soccer game and lots of students from my high school attended. We have 13 incoming students from Cristo Rey and to see a lot of them today was a great feeling.

Office of Senator Al Franken

I just applied to an internship with Senator Al Franken in the Duluth office. If I get this internship it will allow me to complete my senior social work placement. It will also allow me to get experience that will help me with my future career. Career services at our school helps with resumes and cover letters which I needed to apply.

Prices Rates – St. Scholastica

On Monday we had a committee meeting to discuss future tuition and dining rates at The College of St. Scholastica. This group is in charge of making proposals to the President on what we want to see the prices to be around. The committee consists of two students (myself included), faculty, and staff. It's a pretty big group that has plans to continue meeting this summer and fall semester.

Organizational Behavior Degree

It's official! I have finished my first degree. Today, I received my final grades for the two summer classes that I took and I have now completed my classes required for this major. This major will allow me to go into non-profits, corporations, government entities, and other organizations to conduct Human Resource and Human Capitol work. I will be able to change the culture environment at these places with this degree.

Summer Class Wrap Up

Last week I finished my summer classes. I took Management Ethics and Human Resource Management. I had to do a fourteen page paper and five page paper for my final class assignment's. It was a lot of hard work and dedication to try and finish off strong. It is important to remember that the last couple of weeks of school are usually some of the most important.
