Finally Home

Today I finally became an official resident of CSS again and I feel so at home! It’s true that this place is a better fit for me than my own house is! I love my new apartment and can’t wait to get some decorations up once my roommates all get here. Right now it’s just me and one other person living in my room because we are here for cheer (her) and dance (me) camps. Tomorrow is my first official practice with the Dance Team and I couldn’t be more excited. I really hope that we all have a fun year together. I will probably be sore for the next month, though! I’m anxious to see what’s all in store for Homecoming which is only a month away, basically! It has already been different not being the baby freshie anymore, and I couldn’t help but smile when someone came up to me and asked me how to get to the BWC. It’s crazy how that was me only one year ago. That is something I have to remember because we’ve all been there and wanted someone to help us, so I’m more than happy to do the same for someone else! This week is going to fly by and then before I know it I’ll be getting ready to go to class, starting work again, and the year will be halfway over before I know it. I’m hoping I’ll have a few seconds to sit back and enjoy the ride because I don’t want my life to be a blur and always “go-go-go”, I want to relish each and every second of it! One thing I learned last year was that it’s important to be in the moment of your life rather than always planning for the future or waiting for the weekend. That’s my goal this year, and I hope I can reach (or at least come close to) it!
